The Punic Wars, Hannibal, the elephants, the Alps mountains, the Romans, Scipio the African.
Flashes of history that come back to the mind enveloped by a mythical arcade.

Fragments of ancient ruins, like desert sand, that creep into the folds of a long blue tunic: that Mediterranean now vanished.

A Mare Nostrum became such after epic struggles with a city that, in the preciousness of Islamic art, has regained the splendor that a ruthless winner had tried to erase with the "salt" of Zama.

A plot of history in which the spectra of many peoples that have built, destroyed and rebuilt: Carthage, UNESCO World Heritage Site, today is a lovely city surrounded by greenery, overlooking the sea.

Walking around its ruins, it seems to hear the voices of those who lived there, the battles of those who tried to possess it, and the noise of the waves at the landing of the ships.

A few ruins, a dozen archaeological sites scattered over an area of over two kilometers, which, only partially, can offer an idea of its ancient splendor.

Worth a visit the Carthage Theater of impressive size, majestic in appearance, one of the largest in the land of Africa.

The large staircases take advantage of the natural slope of the land at the slopes of a hill. Hundreds of spectators could sit there, enjoying an amazing panorama.

Although with obvious restoration and conservation works that obscure the original layout, it is a site that is inserted into the historical and archaeological context is very fascinating.

I'm wearing a gorgeous creation of Porquoime, a lace frilly shirt, as dictate the latest fashion trends, a precious fabric with refined details, and to make my outfit even more bright, two pieces of jewelery made entirely by hand, of Jilavie, unique and exclusive pieces, like every single brand creation, strictly Made in Italy, while I look at the ruins of the majestic Roman theater, an imposing construction which today unfortunately are a bit more than the foundations, yet sufficient to give an idea of its grandeur.
(Click here to see another outfit where I was wearing a top signed Porquoime and here a piece of jewelry from the latest "Maghreb" collection of Jilavie).
(Click here to read more about ruffles and frills, a huge trend for this summer 2017).
